Adopt a Team & Values Ed Grant

Uploaded on : 2008-04-14 01:26:11

So far we have over 40 schools involved in the Homeless World Cup Adopt a Team initiative which is absolutely fantastic!

Most schools have selected their team and are engaged in activities, whether its fundraising or preparing welcome packs. And we have been busy travelling all over the countryside running workshops at schools and speaking at assembly after assembly with the national coach of the Australian Street Socceroos team George Halkias attending as well as a member from the team!

We will soon be encouraging schools to upload their Adopt a Team activities to the ruMAD? Website for everyone to see. So continue to watch this space! For a full wrap up of events to come, check out the latest Adopt a Team newsletter below.

VALUES EDUCATION & VICTORIAN SCHOOLS
Values Education Forums Project (2005-2008) Victoria

The Values Education Forums Project is a national initiative that includes one-off grants of $800 for all Victorian schools to review or refresh the place of values education in relation to policies and practices, e.g. Elliminyt Primary School held a school community forum to examine the school’s purpose, values and to define their future strategic intentions in relation to student well-being, student pathways and learning.

Funding for the Forums project is due to conclude in June 2008. Schools that have not accessed the one-off grant are still able to do so until 31 May. A second round of funding is available to previously funded schools providing they cluster with another school or group of schools that has not received the grant.
